  Coconino County Sheriff's office has no business investigating police actions that may involve criminal prosecution of Flagstaff police officers. As a general rule in any organization, the attitudes and behaviors of those working within that organization generally reflect the attitudes and beliefs of the organizations leadership. In this case, its starts with the Chief. Have you heard the saying, "The Buck Stops Here." It is time for a change and I urge you to call your local government representative and let them know it is time for a change in leadership at the Flagstaff police department. MBA, CSSMBB

  My son ws just killed in Afghanistan and Im retired U.S.Marine Corps and I was beside myself last night and your guys came in and treated me with such understanding and a level of respect that I will NEVER forget as long as I live. I was out of my mind and they didn't cuff me or even raise thier voices. So, I just want to thank you guys because theres no help for us combat vets up here and I can usually take a pretty solid hit but last night was a capper and I just finally lost it. My career in the U.S. Marine Corps taught me everything I know but I never thought Id finally get back here and get some respect and such understanding...so I thank you.

  Thank you to Flagstaff PD for agreeing to have a 'no lights and sirens' policy as much as possible... especially the sirens part. After seeing New York City reduce their use of lights and sirens by 300,000 calls per year, and other cities also halting use of lights and sirens as they have been proven to actually increase collisions with emergency vehicles, especially in wet, rainy or snowy weather conditions when drivers panic. I appreciate this as a downtown resident as well... and of course, use them when necessary, we appreciate what you do and we know you're out there saving lives, thank you!
